You will :
You will work in dual role of Project Coordinator and Estimator. As a Project Coordinator, you will assist the Business Unit Lead and management team with overall project performance including cost, schedule, safety, and quality.
This includes supporting coordination, planning, and identifying potential risks and resolving field technical issues.
- As an Estimator, you will examine and analyze tender documents.You are responsible for estimates of accurate and competitive costs of materials, labour, and equipment for construction projects based on drawings, quotations, and SOW specifications.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress and reporting.
- Liaise and issue tender packages for major equipment, material, and sub-vendor requirements. Complete quote comparison and provide recommendation for vendor selection.
Assist in defining scopes of work, answering inquiries and monitoring progress.
- Participate in tender review, prrovide clear detailed quantity take offs; verify job site quantities, and organize sub-contractors’ quotations.
- Involvement with pre-commissioning or commissioning if needed.Assist with overall project closeout, including documentation archiving, punch list close out, and warranty resolution.
- Assist in tracking proposals during bid phase and report to Management Team. Follow-up on submitted tenders with client representatives.
- Assist in the scoping, planning, and development of Field Installation Work Packages (FIWP) and ensure the timely removal of constraints and issuing to crews.
Assist with the development of the project schedule and tracking of project milestones and deliverables; input and update schedule throughout the project and review with Project Manager / Superintendent.
Requirements :
- 2+ years of hands on experience as an estimator.
- 5+ years’ experience working in the field maintenance of Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers.
- Experience working in production or field operations considered an asset.
- Familiarity with estimating software.
- Exposure to TEMA, API, ASME codes.
- C.E.T. or P.Eng. designation is an asset.
- Construction Engineering Technology Diploma, Engineering Degree, or Engineering Technology Diploma.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with estimating techniques and tendering process.
