Our print division in Vancouver is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our fast-paced manufacturing team environment on a Full-Time basis.
Responsibilities :
Prepare journal entries for the completion of month end
- Analyze and report on the performance of all print jobs
- Perform inventory and fixed asset counts
- Review and ensure vendor invoices are matched and forwarded to the Financial Services Center (FSC) for processing.
- Process payables, perform PO receiving, and prepare POs in Globetek.
- Resolve invoice problems with buyers and FSC on a weekly basis.
- Prepare check requests and send them to the FSC.
- Respond to inquiries about the financial data from the FSC (Financial Services Center)
- Prepare information to supply to internal and external auditors
- Ensure all financial records are in conformance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Able to meet important deadlines, which may require commitment outside of normal hours
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller
- Comply with safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to 5S workplace organization standards
Requirements :
- Post-Secondary education : BA in Accounting or similar
- Working towards or completion of the CPA designation
- 5 years of full cycle accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry
- Proficient in Word and Outlook with advanced skills in Excel
- Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Dynamic team player who also works well independently
- Strong organizational and time management skills are a must
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
