We are a fast-growing content team that specializes in producing engaging, high-quality video content across social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Our mission is to entertain, inform, and captivate audiences with dynamic and creative video storytelling. As part of our expansion, we're looking for a passionate Short-Form Video Editor to join our team and contribute to our content success.
As a Short-Form Video Editor , you will play a key role in editing fast-paced, visually engaging videos for a variety of platforms, ensuring they align with current trends, brand identity, and platform-specific requirements.
You will collaborate closely with our creative team to produce videos that not only entertain but also resonate deeply with our audience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Video Editing : Edit short-form videos (15 seconds to 2 minutes) from raw footage and provided assets, ensuring the final product is polished, high-quality, and meets project goals.
- Content Creation : Work with the creative team to brainstorm and develop fresh video ideas tailored to social media trends and audience interests.
- Pacing & Flow : Ensure videos are fast-paced, visually appealing, and in line with the latest trends and best practices for social media videos.
- Sound Design & Music : Curate and synchronize music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the video's emotional impact and overall quality.
- Visual Effects & Graphics : Integrate text overlays, motion graphics, and animations to improve the clarity and creativity of the videos.
- Platform Optimization : Edit videos according to platform guidelines (aspect ratio, resolution, file format) for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
- Collaboration : Work closely with content creators, marketers, and other team members to ensure videos align with brand identity and campaign goals.
- Feedback & Revisions : Respond to feedback, revising videos as necessary to ensure the final product meets editorial standards and client expectations.
Qualifications :
- Experience : 1 3 years of professional video editing experience with a portfolio that demonstrates expertise in short-form video (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).
- Proficiency in Video Editing Software : Expertise in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Creative Eye : Strong understanding of pacing, timing, and storytelling in short-form video, with a keen awareness of viral content and current social media trends.
- Attention to Detail : High standard of quality in video, audio, and graphics to ensure the best possible viewing experience.
- Adaptability : Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Communication Skills : Strong ability to collaborate with team members, content creators, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on creative direction.
- Preferred : Experience with motion graphics tools like After Effects or knowledge of basic animation techniques.
Nice to Have :
- Experience with Filming / Directing : Prior experience in filming, directing, or producing short-form content is a plus.
- Familiarity with Social Media Algorithms : Understanding of how social media algorithms work and how to create content that optimizes engagement.
- Basic SEO Knowledge : Understanding SEO and how to optimize videos for social media growth and visibility.
Test Project and Portfolio :
As part of the application process, candidates will be required to submit a portfolio showcasing their work and a test project to demonstrate editing skills.
This will help us assess if your work aligns with our standards before submission to clients.
