Systems Administrator
Administrator Systems will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Microsoft 365 and Teams telephony solutions within the organization.
This role requires a deep understanding of MS365 applications, Teams telephony features, and the ability to collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration across the company.
Here is what a typical day looks like
- Implement, manage, and maintain telephony systems, (Microsoft Teams Voice, HPBX)
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure compatibility and integration with existing systems
- Provide training and support to staff on M365 and Teams, and other telephony features within areas of responsibility
- Stay updated with the latest Microsoft 365 updates and telephony technologies
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to MS365, Teams and telephony
- Assist in the creation and management of M365 suite within the organization, ensuring proper access control and document management
- Confirming all systems have secure connections and perform smoothly to serve the needs of the organization
- Performing day-to-day technical support for users and projects of the organization
- Maintaining essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
- Maintaining internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, phones, security updates;
supporting internet, intranet
- Help test, and maintain new servers (on prem or cloud) as needed
- Participate with the other support tiers and teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
- Ensuring parity between development, test, and production environments
- Managing the configuration of server operating systems and maintaining monitoring tools
- Responding immediately to security or usability concerns
The value you bring
- 5 years of experience in a similar or comparable role
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365, Teams and VoIP telephony systems
- Strong understanding of network communications and IT infrastructure
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and training skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Location : Remote within Canada
Salary Range : $61,000 - $84,000
