BlackBerry is seeking a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer to support the Technical Marketing team and wider Product Marketing Group.

The objective for this role is to own and deliver the technical validation of our products & solutions while assisting the team to deliver insightful Technical Marketing Assets that strengthen our core solutions’ narrative and messaging, increasing visibility and pipeline for Cybersecurity.

WHAT IS OUR MISSION

We want to simplify the language of cybersecurity into readily consumable communications that anyone can understand, by translating the technical complexities of cybersecurity into the business risks of potential breaches and the ever-increasing threat to corporate data and endpoints.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own and manage the technical competency center within the team to help develop and run efficacy and performance tests - including with 3rd parties.
  • Manage the lab environment and demo systems to replicate real world scenarios, primarily for Endpoint Protection.
  • You will also be exposed to our other technologies, including MDR, UEM and Secure Communications
  • Build and maintain relationships with third-party testing labs
  • Help maintain and update Competitive Intelligence
  • Work with our market-leading threat research team on understating the latest threat intelligence
  • Implementing threat intelligence, along with market signals into our overall narrative to provide timely and specific feedback on implementing our solutions for customers and competitive intelligence.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining technical marketing communication on all our outbound communications including web copy, solutions briefs, demos, videos, blogs and sales material.
  • Help train and update sales and technical sales on the latest technical marketing messaging.
  • Represent BlackBerry at public events, trade shows, webinars and on customer calls in a professionally technically astute manner.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • A good Batchelor’s degree as a minimum in Computer science, or similar. Postgraduate qualifications, particularly in a data security related subject would be ideal.
  • 3-5 years of technical marketing experience in Cybersecurity. Other experience such as DevOps and SecOPS would also be considered.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Presentation experience such as briefings, demos, videos, podcasts and at industry events
  • Strong focus on customer needs and outcomes with a deep commitment to the teamwork needed to create great technical marketing assets and delight customers and partners.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, with attention to detail. You thrive on the ever-changing nature of cybersecurity as threats present themselves daily.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a desire to just get on with it!
