Th e Assistant Store Manage r at our store in downtown Vancouver makes the client’s needs his / her first priority. He / she strives to build client relationships, listen to clients to anticipate their needs and take personal responsibility for the client’s requests.
The Assistant Store Manager is very knowledgeable about Company merchandise and remains continuously up to date as new products are introduced.
The incumbent strives to create a good impression and deliver memorable service to clients.
In addition, the Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Director with the daily store operations. Together with the Store Director, the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding the sales and store operation objectives through proactive selling techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Replaces the Store Director in his / her absence
- Provides support to the store’s staff and acts as a resource, providing guidance to ensure delegated tasks are successfully completed
- Assists the Store Director to ensure that all store staff is operating as per the Company’s guidelines, policies and procedures as outlined in the Store Operations manual
- Maintains a professional attitude at all times and always conducts business with integrity
- Builds and maintains client book and alert clients to upcoming events and new products
- Complies with all Company’s guidelines, policies and procedures as outlined in the Store Operations manual
- Offers assistance to and builds effective working relationships with team members
- Organizes merchandise and displays accordingly in order to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage
- Opens / Closes the store
- Meets sales targets and objectives continuously.
Our ideal candidate has
- 2-5 years of retail sales experience, luxury retail and / or jewelry experience is preferred;
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business
- Administration OR other relevant education;
- Strong team values and leadership skills;
- Ability to offer an exceptional client service that is both unique and memorable;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills;
- A solid knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel, MS Word, Outlook);
- A goal oriented and sales driven mindset but understands that truly caring about clients and exceeding their expectations is key to their success.
