Position Summary :
Reporting to the NA Sr Manager, this role will provide procurement services to all indirect items / service requirements for the Scarborough facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Research select and purchase quality products and materials.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
- Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
- Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
- Select the best procurement alternative along with establishing the adequate commercial and logistics conditions.
- Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
- Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
- Negotiate price, logistic terms and commercial conditions for the tail Indirect Spend
- Provide timely solutions to all internal requisitions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in International Business (Import-Export) or Industrial Engineer or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in purchasing activities.
- Must have inventory management knowledge.
- Must have proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint.
