Arcadis is seeking an Transportation Engineer with 5 to 12+ years experience to join our transportation impact study team.
The focus of our team is providing transportation consulting services in support of land development and redevelopment across Ontario, and assisting our architects and urban planners in realizing our clients vision.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, demonstrate excellent communication skills, be eager to mentor, and indicate an interest to work on a wide variety of private and public sector projects.

Role Accountabilities :
As a Transportation Engineer in our growing Mobility Advisory team, typical projects and tasks will include :
- Transportation impact studies and related analysis for residential, commercial, and employment developments across Ontario
- Traffic operations review / capacity analysis, parking demand reviews, travel demand management, and road user safety studies
- Roadway planning and design studies, assessments for existing transportation facilities and planned improvements
- Project coordination between other design disciplines, management of schedule and budget
- Preparation of technical reports and documentation related to current or prospective projects
- Serve in a client-facing role, although project and client management is not the focus of this position.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Professional Engineer designation, or eligible for P. Eng. Designation
- Candidates possessing Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designations with significant experience managing transportation impact studies may be considered
- Five to 12 or more years of experience including a lead role in traffic operations and parking studies such as Project Manager or Technical Lead
- Progressive experience in project management and business development including responding to RFPs
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario Traffic Manual and Highway Capacity Manual, and other recognized transportation standards and reference materials
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, AutoTURN, Synchro, VISSIM
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with a commitment to excellence and high-quality work
- Proven technical writing skills in English with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience preparing material for and facilitating meetings with technical agencies and the public
- Ability to be flexible and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team, while maintaining quality work within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to regularly attend client and public meetings in person in the Greater Toronto Area
