JOB SUMMARY :
The Programmer / Analyst - Data Solution is responsible for maintaining and enhancing all enterprise data platforms vital to the performance of corporate management and regulatory reporting.
The Programmer Analyst - Data Solution is also responsible for developing plans and overseeing all aspects of providing reliable, recoverable, and scalable transactional database / computing environments as well as data warehouse environments that store and integrate company data for insights and reporting.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, manage, administer, document, and provide technical and strategic support for all corporate and business-critical transactional database systems.
Develop system integrations and messaging standards to support required data flows across systems while optimizing them for efficient data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Architect enterprise databases and data platforms ensure their reliability, scalability, and performance to support critical corporate management reporting and regulatory compliance.
Ensure corporate data integrity by securing access to confidential and strategic information, and ensure system compliance with the Affiliate Relationships Code.
Advise application development and support teams on optimal use of database and transaction management technology through the creation and communication of standards and instructions of critical application components.
Determine scope and prepare detailed requirements documents for tasks and projects to ensure scope and business requirements are understood and acceptable to all stakeholders.
Responsible for development and re-engineering initiatives aimed at increasing the quality and efficient use of the corporate data platform .
Investigate and analyze problems and business requirements, including impact analysis of change, on all data ecosystems and its life cycle in order to recommend appropriate solutions.
Test delivered systems solutions and monitor systems after implementation to ensure requirements are satisfied.
Recommend enhancements to reporting , visualization, dashboard and insights tools used for monitoring key performance measures necessary for making strategic business decisions.
Provide direction to internal and external users and assist in the effective and efficient resolution of data issues.
Provide data administration such as backups, disaster recovery, database tuning, configuration & troubleshooting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
Experience and other formal training combined with demonstrated performance may substitute for stipulated academic requirements.
Minimum 6 years working with Oracle databases, Oracle Enterprise Monitoring, Oracle Apex and SQLServers.
Minimum 3 years working with Snowflake.
Expert using data integration tools such as Boomi, Kafka, ODI.
Experience and knowledge with data orchestration such as Apache Airflow, dbt, Data cleansing and data quality tools, data catalog and data migration.
Experience and thorough knowledge of programming SQL, PL / SQL, Python, Java or Spark.
Experience and strong knowledge of financial databases and interaction between subsystems and tables (AR, AP, GL, HR, Work Orders, Contract Billing, Inventory etc.).
Past experience managing databases for ERP.
Familiarity working with cloud providers specially GCP . AWS and Oracle Cloud.
Experience with Data migration and High Availability solutions.
Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, Docker and Kubernetes considered an asset.
Utility experience is considered an asset.
Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL, NoSQL Databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cloud Data Warehouses such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery and Graph Databases such as Neo4j, Amazon Neptune considered an asset.
English language skills essential, Bilingualism (French / English) or other languages an asset.
This is a management group opportunity and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
