Our Emergency Response division is looking for a new Emergency Response Operators to join our team! We are looking for skilled, hard working candidates to join this tight knit group and respond to various emergency events throughout Ontario and Canada.

Key Responsibilities :
The Emergency Response Operator will respond to various incidents such as :
- Environmental and Industrial spills
- Clandestine laboratory decommissioning
- Highway incidents involving tractor trailers, accidents, and chemical leaks
- Train derailments involving hazardous chemicals, fires, and site safety planning.
- Marine operations mostly regarding fuel spills into open bodies of water. Involving boom deployment and boat operations.
- Weather event responses involving wind / ice storms, forest fires, and flooding.
- Chemical assessments and advisory services.
- Working alongside police, fire, EMS, Environment Canada, and other stakeholders.
- Incidents involving heavy equipment, vacuum trucks, and water blasters.
- Participating in job specific and health & safety training as required
- Operating his / her position in an efficient and safe manner
- Completing work related documentation and reporting
- Follow all established organizational policies and procedures
- Promote and participate in a work environment free of workplace harassment and violence
- Perform work in a safe manner, so as not to endanger oneself or others
- Reporting workplace hazards, accidents or other occurrences that may pose a risk to the organization or the safety of oneself or others
- Adhere to the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workplace Safety & Insurance Board Act, Ontario Human Rights Code and Employment Standards Act
- Participate in team / staff meetings when required
- Work in a manner that preserves confidentiality and minimizes risk

- Valid DZ and / or AZ license with a suitable drivers abstract ( Or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment)
- On-call work availability for emergency response
- Participate in pre-employment and post-incident drug & alcohol testing
- Valid Certification in First Aid / CPR (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment)
