Reporting to the Lead, ITGC Management Controls, the Analyst will assist in the planning, execution and reporting of IT General Controls across Canada, USA and International.

Bringing relevant experience in the execution of ITGC, the successful candidate will operate as a business partner, offering value-added insight to the business and supporting the continued enhancement of the program.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO :

  • Support the execution (planning, documentation and execution) of IT General Controls (ITGC) as Management for the BRP organization.
  • Partner with the BRP internal controls team, and build and maintain / enhance internal control documentation, including process flow diagrams, process narratives and design and operating effectiveness of testing results.
  • Prepare clear, concise, appropriately referenced work papers to document test procedures performed and conclusion drawn.
  • Monitor remediation of control deficiencies identified and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans and recommendations, with follow up and support for resolutions.
  • Operate as a business partner, supporting process and control owners to implement best practices and improve control efficiency.
  • Develop value-add, interactive reports that clearly communicate outcomes of design and effectiveness testing and drive remediation efforts by process and control owners.
  • Respond to external auditors for IT General control-related matters.
  • Work very closely with the BRP Internal Controls team to ensure all SOX controls are performed in a timely manner.

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES :

  • At least 3 years of IT General Control experience in an SAP Environment (ECC, S4 HANA, BW, GRC) with a public accounting firm is required.
  • Good knowledge of US and Canadian regulatory requirements relating to IT General Control.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork skills and a desire to work in a high performing team.
  • Possession of a professional accounting designation (CPA and CISA) is highly desirable.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to speak candidly to business regarding issues identified during the ITGC testing process.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to build strong relationships within the team as well as within the business.
  • Knowledge of the Google Suite of Products (Gmail, Sheets, Meets, Chat).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a must, and French is highly desirable.
  • This position can be located anywhere in Canada, however working hours will be in EST.
