Position Summary

As the Sales Support Specialist, IT Professional Services, you will be responsible for working closely with the Technical Consulting Services (TCS) team to identify and develop opportunities to grow revenue from our existing and new accounts.

This will involve active outreach and calls to current and prospective clients to introduce Maximus service offerings as well as position for known and identified future opportunities.

It will also include the active monitoring and harvesting of various pre-qualified standing agreements (i.e. Vendor of Record) solicitations across multiple geographies.

Your typical week at Maximus

  • Active monitoring of procurement sites for opportunity postings that align with Maximus capabilities and service offerings
  • Distribution of procurement documents to operational teams as well as geographic Business Development Leaders
  • Attendance and participation in team meetings and briefings
  • Active outreach to current and prospective customers to identify upcoming procurement opportunities of interest
  • Pipeline management / reporting of overall pursuits and ensuring overall reporting compliance.

What you offer us

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement and procurement practices
  • Existing relationships with government customers and buyers at various levels of government and an established network of relationships in Provincial and / or Federal government contacts
  • Ability to identify and qualify new opportunities and present pursuit recommendations to both Business Development and functional leadership
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of sales experience selling to public sector organizations
  • Experience selling in technology professional services is required
  • University or College degree Business Administration preferred

Other

Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check
