Brandt is currently seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling for the Material Handling division at our Mississauga Construction & Forestry location.
The Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling is responsible for completing on-site preventative maintenance services and repairs on the functional parts of all mechanical equipment at customer sites, utilizing state of the art technologies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performing all levels of Preventative Maintenance services on a scheduled basis in a professional manner.
- Identify issues with malfunctioning equipment, analyze the root causes, and devise appropriate solutions for repairs, replacements, or adjustments.
- Identify and report on additional items identified that require follow-up service work by a service technician.
- Ensuring the accurate capture and reporting of PM service checklist, inspections, and work order information for the benefit of customer reporting.
- Work directly with the customers and equipment operators.
- Utilize hoists, forklifts, power tools, cranes, loaders, vehicles, and manual tools for operational tasks.
- Operate machinery to evaluate its performance and verify the effectiveness of repairs or adjustments made.
- Other duties as assigned.

High degree of mechanical aptitude.
Willing to work after-hours and / or participate in shiftwork as required to support customer needs.
Class D license required.
Must have experience operating, servicing, and / or maintaining material handling equipment.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience
