The Account Executive will manage day-to-day activities of assigned account(s), while coordinating effectively with client brand team and extended partners on development of tactics.
This individual is responsible for frequent client contact with brand management as well as other client team members (medical, legal, regulatory, etc.
The position demonstrates a strategic understanding of the client business and provides sound and responsible client counsel.
What You’ll Do
- Establish and build relationships with internal teams and client teams
- Acquire thorough knowledge of client’s business to anticipate marketing and advertising challenges and opportunities
- Demonstrate strong understanding of the brand, ensuring the creative team produces high quality work that’s on strategy
- Monitor competitive promotional initiatives
- Prepare and update client status, project status and financial status to client
- Document client discussions and action items for team review including contact reports and status reports
- Review estimates vs previous projects and present project timeline and estimate to clients
- Respond to both internal and external client requests promptly and appropriately
- Follow up on action items with team / client to ensure completion
- Ensure solid understanding of client’s financial management / invoicing / budget submission requirements
- Stay abreast of regulations that govern the pharmaceutical marketing space and impact the client’s medical / legal / regulatory review process
- Adhere to company and client-specific compliance guidelines and close-out procedures
What You’ll Need
- 1+ year related pharmaceutical / healthcare experience from agency, marketing and / or medical education account management experience
- Knowledge of healthcare and pharmaceutical practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively
- Proactive, can-do attitude to finding solutions.
- Team player who operates in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to listen, learn and add value
- Strong attention to detail without losing the big picture
- Understand advertising fundamentals, including positioning, branding and principles of good creative
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Advocate ways to improve work processes and efficiencies
