Our client is a leading provider of industrial flooring solutions. They are looking for a full-time Outside Sales Representative to join their team based in the GTA area .
This is a hybrid role, involving time spent on the road within your sales territory as well as time in our client’s GTA office.
The Outside Sales Representative will primarily focus on expanding our client’s B2B segment and uncovering new growth opportunities.
This role will involve driving business development by targeting new accounts, including large manufacturers in the food, merchandise, automotive, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include :
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities by targeting key decision-makers within various industries
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with clients by offering solutions, addressing their needs and providing exceptional customer service
- Preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations to clients, highlighting the product benefits
- Conducting site visits to evaluate client needs, offer expert advice, and provide accurate product quotes
- Collaborating with the internal team to ensure smooth product delivery and installation
- Developing and executing strategic sales plans to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in your designated territory
- Staying informed about industry trends, competitors, and new product developments to effectively position the company’s offerings in the marketplace
- Preparing and submitting sales reports, tracking key performance metrics like sales volume, pipeline activity, and customer feedback
- Attending trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote company products and build relationships with potential clients.
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues
Qualifications :
- A minimum of 4 years of proven B2B sales experience in selling construction-related materials or equipment is required
- Experience in the construction, industrial, or manufacturing sectors (at least 4 years) or experience in developing business with large and medium-sized general contractors (GCs) within the construction industry
- Self-motivated and independent contributor with the ability to manage your workload and meet targets without constant supervision
- The ability to be a strong hunter that is adept at identifying new opportunities, cold calling, and engaging in door-to-door sales when necessary
- Demonstrating initiative in finding innovative ways to penetrate new markets, discover key accounts, and develop priority relationships
- A strong relationship builder that is skilled at forging strong connections with clients to promote trust and drive repeat business
- The ability to analyze and to assess market trends, competitive landscapes, and identify the most valuable opportunities
- Clear, persuasive, and professional in all written and verbal communication
- Result-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications :
- Established network of contacts within large manufacturers or general contractors.
- Knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area market and industry trends.
