Director, Sales & Marketing

Introduction :
The Director, Sales & Marketing is a key part of the Leadership team of the company and leads the front-end of the business.
Your role will be to lead the team to generate leads; qualify those leads; and work collaboratively with your team and our clients to successfully bring top line revenue into the business that aligns with sales and margin targets, while building a viable long-term pipeline of business.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving sales growth, managing marketing initiatives, and developing business opportunities in a B2B setting.
You should have experience in low to medium volume, high to medium mix environments.
You will oversee a Sales & Marketing team of 3 as well as outsourced marketing resources.

Leadership :
- In collaboration with your team, develop and execute a comprehensive Business Development and Tactical Sales plans that are objective and align with the company’s goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Provide hands-on support for the teams’ pursuit of new business opportunities.
- Business Development :
- Identify and develop new markets and high-value partners
- Participate in networking events, trade shows, and industry conferences to generate leads.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.
- Strategic Planning :
- Contribute to the development of the company's overall strategic plan.
- Analyze sales and marketing metrics to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Report on sales performance, marketing campaign effectiveness, and market conditions to the executive team.
Marketing Management :
- Lead the in-house marketing team and manage outsourced marketing resources.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote company products and services.
- Oversee digital marketing, content creation, branding, and advertising campaigns.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Team Management and Development :
- Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development opportunities for the sales and marketing teams.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear, achievable goals for team members.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in the manufacturing and / or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, marketing strategies, and business development techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software, marketing automation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
