TLA Online is seeking a teacher with experience and a passion for teaching elementary aged children in a online learning environment.
The position involves serving students potentially spanning K-9, so comfort as an elementary generalist is required.
This position is specifically to support learners in the Fort St. James and Vanderhoof areas, so a candidate in the general area of either town is preferred.
Potential candidates must :
Be a committed Christian
Be a BC certified Teacher
Online teaching experience is preferred but not a requirement.
Duties include :
Working with students and parents online and via several home visits per year to ensure they meet the BC learning standards using individualized learning plans, resources, and activities;
assessing learning formatively and summatively; and supporting learning throughout the year in the home environment
