Job Title : Sheet Metal Installer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled sheet metal installer to work on multi-family residential buildings. The primary focus will be on installing sheer sheet metal and running ventilation and ducting, based on pre-laid out plans.
This role involves working on and off ladders, drilling holes, and following layout specifications for material installation.
The job is less labor-intensive than most AC / sheet metal installing positions.
Responsibilities
- Install sheer sheet metal on multi-family residential buildings.
- Work on and off ladders.
- Drill holes and follow layout specifications for material installation.
- Run ventilation and ducting based on pre-laid out plans.
- Ensure accurate installation of materials as per project requirements.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2nd year apprentice sheet metal installer.
- Experience with sheet metal, duct work, and duct installation.
- Proficient with tools such as drills, tape measures, screwdrivers, and steel toe boots.
- Experience in multi-family residential or commercial settings, installation, construction, and sheet metal fabrication.
Work Environment
The work site is based on the candidate's home address, with 55 active projects in Calgary, including specific sites like Chinook Mall, Crowfoot, and Legacy.
The standard working hours are 7 am-3 : 30 pm, with overtime available weekly. Most sites offer parking or are transit accessible.
Work is available year-round, focusing on residential new construction projects, from townhomes to wood frame walk-ups and concrete towers.
We build directly for residential developers and do not complete commercial work, with over 25+ current projects in all quadrants of Calgary.
