Pathfind has partnered with an innovative and reputable insurance brokerage, looking to fill their Commercial Account Manager position in their Calgary and Grande Prairie locations.
As an Account Manager, working with the Sales Team and under the direction of the Senior Account Manager (Team Lead), you will help plan, lead and guide the growth, renewal and servicing of accounts to contribute to the continued growth and operation of the brokerage.
Your primary role will be to perform the renewal of the assigned customers (Book of Business) and provide mentorship to the rest of the team.
Specific Responsibilities :
- Prepare pre-renewal letters, polices, endorsements, customer record books, bonds, certificates, cover notes and cancellation requests.
- Oversee the preparation of proposals, insurance binders, policy renewal documents, certificates of insurance, cover notes, pink cards, mortgage requests and certificates.
- Market, rate and quote new and renewal complex risks.
- Assist Sales Executives in obtaining necessary information for proper submission; distribute quotes, proposals, and policies.
- Prepare customer account reconciliations.
- Report all potential bad debts and take proactive steps to avoid Errors & Omissions
- Cross-sell or up-sell other products and services.
- Accompany Sales Executive on client visits to assist in presentation of insurance proposal.
- Respond to and address all client inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
- Obtain and follow up on information concerning underwriting by completing / overseeing completion of brokerage applications.
- Attend & participate in meetings and company functions.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Specific Requirements :
- Must have a Level 2 General License
- 5+ years experience in Commercial Lines
- Possesses a proactive approach when handling customers
- Excellent problem solver and thinks outside the box
- Experience working within a team environment
Salary range starts at $70,000 plus incentives.
