Agilus is recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer in the Mining and Refining Business in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
This role has overall responsibility for providing Mechanical Engineering support onsite.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for technical (Mechanical) requirements with compliance to company procedure and standards, regulatory standards and codes
- Responsible for cost estimate, schedule, quality and safety of project
- Co-ordinate fabrication, installation and commissioning of equipment
- Review contractors’ invoices and verified their contractual deliverables
- Co-ordinate technical input and develop scope of work
- Monitor project budgets and schedules
- Develop safe work action plan as in accordance with HSE policies and procedures
- Provide engineering support to maintenance during plant turnarounds
Requirements :
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- P. Eng. Designation, Registered with APEGA
- 7+ years of experience in a plant environment, ideally chemical processing
- Experience using ASME and API codes
- Experience with piping, static, and rotating equipment
- Knowledgeable of Alberta Pressure Equipment Safety Legislation and ABSA requirements
- Proficiency with programs such as PV-Elite and Caesar II is an asset
- Proficient at technical writing and the preparation of engineering work packages
