In this role you will :
- Lead and drive the payroll function across the organization. Incorporating a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
- Oversees the execution of all activities related to payroll and time processes, adherence to established controls and ensuring compliance legislative requirements
- Partners with the Global HR Technology Team, Total Rewards COE, Employee Wellbeing Solutions, and other relevant groups to identify and implement solutions to improve / enhance payroll delivery
- Build and lead a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s), ensuring established SLA’s are met or exceeded
- Engage in regular communication and build strong relationships to ensure effective delivery of shared services
- Monitors and ensures the accurate and timely administration, remittance and reporting of payroll related activities
- Assist with external and internal (SOX) regulatory governance and requirements
- Acts as a subject matter expert on all aspects of payroll, resolves escalated or high risk issues or concerns as required
- Drive and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team and within the Operations group, with a focus on transferring learnings and opportunities across the department and leveraging other solutions to enhance efficiency
- Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
- Creates an environment in which his / her team pursues effective and efficient operations within his / her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML / ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML / ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct

communicating vison / values / business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have :
- Post-secondary Degree in Accounting or Business or related field
- PLP or PCP Designation from the National Payroll Institute. Completed or in progress
- Significant experience in payroll or related field
- Experience with SAP, Oracle / PeopleSoft or other large ERP HCM systems
- Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
- Strong knowledge of Organizational structure and complexity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proven supervisory / leadership experience
- Strong analytical skills
