Are you a recent graduate looking to start your career in communications? This full-time, 6-month Communications Assistant contract (with the potential to become permanent) might be the perfect fit.

We’re looking for a bilingual (English & French) candidate with a passion for the film industry, available to work Monday to Friday in Ottawa ( 35 hours / week ) on a hybrid schedule three days in-office and two days remote.

Compensation range : $50,000-$55,000 / year

About you

You should bring :

  • Experience in communications, marketing, or admin, ideally in film / production
  • Proficiency in website management (WordPress, HTML / CSS), social media, and MS Office
  • Bilingualism in French and English (required)
  • Graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite) are an asset
  • Strong written / verbal communication and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Familiarity with film / production industry terms, processes, and stakeholders
  • Availability for occasional travel to industry events or meetings
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

About the role

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for :

  • Update and manage website content, ensuring accuracy and troubleshooting issues
  • Create and schedule social media posts while engaging with followers
  • Assist in developing marketing campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials
  • Track and analyze marketing metrics, providing insights and recommendations
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence management
  • Draft, proofread, and edit communications materials for clarity and consistency
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external communications
