EY’s SaT Real Estate is one of the largest integrated real estate practices in Canada, providing strategy, valuation and transaction services to real estate owners, developers, investors, lenders and users.
Our national practice helps address complex and demanding challenges, drawing upon our knowledge, experience and insight to help clients implement their real estate strategy.
We offer a diverse service offering that includes the following :
- Strategic Advisory Services We help clients to achieve their potential from development to disposition of assets and all steps in between, including oversight, governance, highest and best use and portfolio rationalization.
- Valuation Advisory Services Our team has been involved with some of the largest and most challenging real estate valuations for the purposes of disposition, purchase price allocation of multi-billion dollar transactions, shareholder disputes, butterfly transactions, litigation and restructuring.
- Transaction Advisory Services We provide an integrated service offering that supports the client through every step of the transaction process from strategy development through to transaction execution and closing.

Your key responsibilities :
As an Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work and become a leader within our SaT Real Estate specialty practice. You will have an integral role that involves working closely with other members of the rapidly growing national team to execute a variety of real estate mandates.
- Market Analysis : synthesizing real estate market trends and emerging trends, collecting and analyzing demographic and socio-economic indicators, and maintaining competitive market data to inform valuations, appraisals, competitive and industry analyses, and negotiation support.
- Data Compilation and Analysis : Compiling and analyzing relevant company and industry information from a wide array of sources.
- Market Monitoring : Continuously reviewing trends in the Canadian real estate market to provide timely insights.
- Strategic Planning : Contributing to the development of real estate strategies and portfolio plans for both public and private sector clients.
- Financial Modeling : Creating and maintaining robust financial models to support various real estate initiatives.
- Presentation Development : Report writing and supporting the team in the preparation of internal and external presentations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
- Business Development : Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives nationwide to expand our client base and market presence, including the preparation of proposals, pitches and other pre-engagement activities.
We are interested in candidates who have :
- Experience : Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, including exposure to the real estate sector.
- Educational Background : Undergraduate degree, preferably in real estate, finance, or accounting.
- Technical Skills : Solid technology skills with robust knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint, proficiency in Excel, and financial modeling capabilities.
- Interest : Keen interest to work with both public and private sector clients and across all service lines (advisory, valuations, transaction).
- Communication Skills : Effective written and oral communication skills to convey complex insights clearly and persuasively.
- Project Management : Strong project management and multitasking abilities to manage diverse valuation projects simultaneously.
Ability to systematically handle a heavy workload and consistently meet stringent deadlines.
- Detail oriented : Exhibiting meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of assignments and the relevance of research conducted.
- Deadline driven readiness to periodically work irregular or extended hours, as necessary to fulfill deliverable deadlines.
- Team Player : Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment, collaborating effectively to achieve common goals.
The successful candidate for this position will have strong written and verbal communication / presentation skills, superior analytical skills, demonstrated project and / or people management skills and have been recognized for their participatory attitude and high levels of creative energy and enthusiasm.
