Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, you will provide Pharmacist services to three CareRx Pharmacy locations in the Vancouver, Lower Mainland.
In this role, you will receive a weekly work schedule requiring you to support a specific location and / or work assignment.
Work assignments will vary in nature according to business needs and will include, but not limited to : LTC dispensing, Retail, and (as agreed to OAT activities).
We will endeavour to provide you with work assignments and locations a minimum of one week in advance. This position is primarily Monday to Friday however some week-end shifts are required
Compensation : $45.00 - $55.00 / hour plus applicable premium
Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience for the role with CareRx.
Your Day to Day
- Collaborates with all members of the pharmacy team to ensure medication orders are dispensed accurately, safely, timely and completely
- Completes daily tasks in accordance with established work place policies and procedures
- Consults with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions
- Provides exceptional customer care to CareRx Pharmacy patients
- Communicates with all members of the resident care team while maintaining professionalism by following corporate policies to ensure the highest standard of customer care and quality of pharmacy service at all times
- Maintains accurate, organized and complete resident health records ensuring appropriate documentation and continuity of care at all times
- Conduct medication regimen / profile reviews with associated documentation of recommendations
- Follows all provincial and federal laws, standards and regulations which govern the practice of pharmacy at all times
- Follows all corporate regulations, policies and procedures at all times
- Assists in maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory
- Participates in ongoing continuing education, remaining current in pharmaceutical, medical and professional licensing information in addition to corporate updates, policies, and standards
- Prepare and compound medications when required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, fully licensed in College of Pharmacists of BC and in good standing
- Completion of the BCPhA OAT-CAMPP training program - Mandatory
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interacting with other health care professionals
- Experience with Kroll Software
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills are required
- Self-directed requiring minimal supervision and able to work independently
- Skilled in critical thought processes and be able to prioritize appropriately
- Adaptable to internal work changes
- Previous pharmacy experience an asset
- Availability must include Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability
