As a key member of GFL’s Calgary’s Business Development team, you will be committed to enhancing our client relationships and growing the market share of oil recycling related services.
You will be relied upon to source new business with prospective and existing clients and will instill confidence in our customers that they are dealing with the industry leader.
This will be achieved through consultative selling and the engagement of strong, local team resources. The chosen individual will thrive in this challenging, competitive, ever-changing business environment.
The defined sales territory is Calgary and its surrounding area.
Job Duties
Seek out deliver business opportunities with new and existing clients.
Analyze customer needs and present solutions utilizing a thorough understanding of our diverse service offerings.
Represent the company in a professional manner at all times to ensure every opportunity is taken to promote the brand.
Ensure exemplary customer satisfaction and act as a liaison between customer and operational staff.
Provide market intelligence in regard to competitors and pricing strategies.
Formulate business plans and strategies to meet business development targets.
Key Accountabilities :
Exceed revenue and margin budgets within a defined customer base & market segment year over year.
Develop and execute an annual sales plan that meets or exceeds revenue and margin targets.
Identify and propose new solution-based services to key and targeted customers.
Expand business opportunities and manage relationships with existing customers.
Develop new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, sales calls generation, and by travelling throughout a defined sale territory.
Monitor activity levels and revenues from customers to report on performance.
Work collaboratively with Calgary Branch Operations and Technical Group to maximize sales and service within the region.
Experience & Education :
3-5 years of previous experience in oil recycling services or waste management sales is preferred.
Previous experience in solution-based sales is a definite asset.
University or college education in Sciences or Business is an asset.
Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract is required.
Superior interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a broader Sales team.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
