Overview :
We are currently seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team in Canada. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of tool and die making processes and a strong ability to work with various materials and tools.
As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and repair of tools, dies, and fixtures essential for our manufacturing processes.
Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest levels of quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities :
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to design and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures.
- Design and build precision tools and dies for manufacturing, ensuring they meet the specified dimensions, tolerances, and functionality.
- Operate a variety of machining equipment such as lathes , milling machines , grinders , and CNC machines to produce high-quality tools and dies.
- Perform fitting and assembly work to ensure tools and dies are correctly assembled and ready for use in production.
- Continuously maintain, sharpen, and repair tools and dies to ensure they remain in optimal working condition, minimizing production downtime.
- Work closely with engineers, production staff, and other team members to improve manufacturing processes and reduce tool-related downtime.
- Adhere to safety standards, protocols, and regulations in the workplace to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and tools created or repaired, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and complies with company standards.
Requirements :
- Experience : A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Knowledge :
- Strong understanding of tool and die design and manufacturing processes, including the ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD designs, and technical specifications.
- Machining Proficiency : Proficient in using various machining equipment such as lathes , milling machines , grinders , and other tool-making machines.
- Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot issues related to tooling, machinery, or production processes.
- Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precision tools and dies that meet specifications and functionality requirements.
- Teamwork & Independence : Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.
- Adaptability : Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, methods, and tooling systems to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Safety Awareness : Knowledge of workplace safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a formal Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship or technical certification is preferred.
