The Director of Finance oversees the establishment, implementation and monitoring of the action plan relating to financial management and maintenance of cost pricing programs. He/she is also responsible for improvements to financial, accounting, and administrative processes.
More specifically, the Director of Finance will be responsible for:
- Management of the accounting team
- Responsible for the company’s general accounting, including:
- Preparation and monitoring of budget and financial forecasts
- Billing and accounts payable
- Pay
- Inventory
- Cash flow management
- Government Rebates
- Month and year closure
- Monitoring of internal controls
- Report on the financial situation to the company’s management
- Cost price analysis and cost control
- Optimize asset management to ensure increased profitability
- Preparation of the necessary documents for the financing of the company and equipment acquisitions
- Provide profitability simulations for major capital projects
- Management of the insurance file and various contracts
- Improve financial and accounting processes
- Interact with our customers and suppliers for any questions relating to accounts payable and receivable
Education and Experience
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Have a minimum of five years of experience in accounting or finance
- Experience in personnel management
- Fluency in French and English at a professional level
- A plus: be a member in good standing of the Ordre des CPA du Québec
