Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.
We are currently looking for a nightshift Millwright at our Cambridge plant.
The incumbent will be mainly responsible for the reliability and good functioning of machines, equipment, and systems.
More specifically, he or she will be a self-starter, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, program, and lead the preventative maintenance on mechanical components under his or her responsibility.
The incumbent will also be involved in parts inventory, lead mechanical shutdowns, reporting, record keeping, housekeeping, and safety improvements.

Responsibilities
- A focus on safety, performance and maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance using the company’s PM program
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment unique to precast concrete manufacturing
- Maintenance of stock and parts
Qualifications and requirements
- Certified Industrial Mechanic or Millwright will be an asset
- CWB (Canadian welding Board) member will be an asset
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanics
- Safety oriented
- Excellent problems solving skills
- Excellent teamwork skills with self starting abilities
- Demonstrated skills in industrial mechanical (hydraulic and pneumatic), fabrication and welding
