Based in Lanaudière or on the Northern crown of the Island of Montreal, you will be responsible for supporting and advising, in your territory, clients who are members of a safety group regarding health and safety at work.
Your actions will aim to identify the risks present in the workplaces of your clients and to propose corrective measures in an action plan, according to the applicable regulations.
Your work will mainly take place on the road.
Summary
As an Occupational Health and Safety Consultant, you will support and advise Safety Group clients in your territory (North of Montreal) on relevant matters;
using your skills, knowledge and subject matter expertise in occupational health and safety laws and regulations, CNESST rates, and more.
Responsibilities :
- Visit clients who are members of a Safety Group and promote occupational health and safety
- Develop safety action plans and inform members of their obligations
- Help achieve the quantitative and qualitative goals of the Health & Safety department
- Contribute to market development and the achievement of budget goals by promoting the company’s products and services
Succeeding as an Occupational Health and Safety Consultant will require the following core qualifications and skills :
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset. French is required.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree with a focus on Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field (ex. OHS, administration)
- 2-5 years of work experience in occupational health and safety
- Highly versatile, knowledgeable, and independent, with a demonstrated ability to take action in a range of complex cases or situations within the scope of activities related to health and safety
- Excellent communication skills
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Daily access to a car and a valid driver’s licence mandatory
