What is the opportunity?
As a Senior Counsel, Capital Markets, you will be supporting the Capital Markets and Investor Services businesses on a wide range of legal matters related to securities finance and derivatives transactions.
What will you do?
- Provide highly specialized legal services to Capital Markets and Investor Services business and functional partners on matters relating to securities lending, securities repurchase and reverse repurchase agreements, futures and other derivatives transactions
- You will be responsible for the policy work relating to the Bank’s derivatives and securities finance activities
- As a member of a team of lawyers you will provide advice on a wide range of legal issues impacting the Capital Markets business
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 8+ years of relevant experience as a securities finance and / or derivatives
- lawyer in private practice or as in-house counsel
- Be eager to learn and comfortable managing competing priorities while working under tight deadlines.
- You must have excellent communication and drafting skills
- Be collaborative and have strong business acumen
