Our Red Chris operation is now recruiting for the position of Journeyperson Millwright with a competitive hourly rate of $55.
14. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills and competencies with consideration to internal equity.
We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.
Purpose of the Role
To perform maintenance and construction duties as a fixed plant mechanic (Millwright) within the Mill Maintenance team. To safely perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks to optimize equipment availability, and the Mill Maintenance team’s performance.
Accountabilities
- Repair, adjust, maintain and improve stationary equipment in a 30, ton per day crusher plant and concentrator
- Follow OHS, Mines Act and Red Chris Policies and Procedures
- Able to work outdoors in severe conditions
- Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Able to work day or night shift as required
- Provide mentorship and assist training of apprentices
- Champion safe work practices
- Required to work in maintenance management systems
- Required to log information and create reports

About You
Position requirements include, but are not limited to :
- Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
- Computer skills
- Overhead crane, Aerial Work Platform (AWP), Rigging certificates an asset
- Welding certificates an asset
- Equipment Operator certificate an asset
- Extensive experience with pumps, conveyors, mills, and piping in a mining environment
- Experience with Gyratory Crushers
- Experience living and working in remote camp environment
- A team player that works well with others
- Strong oral and written communication skills
