Our client is a leading Asset and Property Management firm with commercial, residential and condo portfolios consisting of over $1.
5 Billion dollars. They are in continual growth mode and are looking to add a Senior Property Accountant to their growing team.
This is a newly created role due to the growth of the organization. As such this is a role with succession planning and growth opportunities.

Compensation
$60,000 $70,000K annually, plus additional perks.
Position Description
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Monthly & Quarterly Reporting Lead a team to ensure monthly financial reports are up to dateReviewing monthly reconciliations and prepare financial statementsPrepare quarterly financial statements and variance analysisManage finance reports for special projects
- Fixed Assets Manage fixed asset schedules and prepare monthly journal entryEnsure fixed assets schedules are updated regularly
- Audit Prepare interim and year-end audit schedulesEnsure all deadlines are met and all audit paperwork is in order for VP of finance
- Budget Preparation Assist accounts payable in budgeting the expense accountsReview operating cost budgets with Property ManagersPrepare revenue and recovery cost budgets.
- HST filing Review HST for monthly filingWork with Statistics Canada for any issues, filing, delinquencies, etc.
Experience
In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you will have :
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 3 years of experience working within accounting and finance within
- Property Management
- Experience working within the Condo Property sector in accounting / finance
- Experience with Yardi Voyageur an MUST
Qualifications
- An accounting designation or pursuing a CA with near completion, an asset
- Strong computer skills; Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
