About the Opportunity
On behalf of a large national association, LRO Staffing is recruiting for a Board of Directors and Governance Assistant.
This key role is responsible for ensuring effective communication with the Board of Directors, CEO and members of the Senior Leadership Team, through professional correspondence.
effective meeting management and superior member relations.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Coordinates all logistical aspects of the Board of Directors and SLT meetings including accommodations, hospitality, meeting materials and minute / record keeping
- Prepares and distributes all Board of Director and SLT meeting materials
- Maintains all governance related documentation including Policies & Procedures and Bylaws
- Acts as the first point of contact for corporate member communications, working closely with the executive offices of member organizations
About You
The successful candidate will have the following :
- Post secondary education in business administration / relevant field or equivalent experience
- A minimum of five years of experience supporting a Senior Executive Team or Board of Directors
- Experience coordinating complex meeting planning, including the ability to travel occasionally to offsite meetings over multiple days
- Exceptionally strong writing skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to build relationships across organizations at all levels
About the Job
This is a full time / permanent position offering a hybrid work arrangement, but requiring the selected individual be in office during Board and SLT meetings and to travel outside of Ottawa occasionally.
The organization is conveniently located in the downtown core and is offering a salary of between $90,000 - $110,000 with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a retirement component.
