Casual Library Clerks

North Region - North Bay and Surrounding Areas
East Region - Sundridge, South River and Surrounding Areas
West Region - Parry Sound and Surrounding Areas
The Library Clerk will maintain a safe and secure operation of the school Library conducive to learning, while upholding all school and library policies.
The Clerk will assist students and Educators with book circulation, finding suitable and appropriate level books, research on the NNDSB Virtual Library, use of the Online Library Catalogue and Education Technology related tools and software.
Qualifications :
Minimum Grade 12 education
1 to 3 years clerical experience, preferably in an educational library
Skills Required :
Strong computer and keyboarding skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, email and education technology related tools and devices
Competency in library technical skills within an automated environment
Familiar with Dewey Decimal System and general library procedures
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral : the ability to communicate and work effectively with students and staff
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Safe carrying and lifting of boxes is required for this position
Rate of Pay : $20.50 plus 4% vacation pay and applicable statutory holiday pay
