On behalf of our Public Sector client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for an Associate Project Manager (SAP) role.
Summary of the Role
We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to support a Public Sector organization’s ERP modernization initiatives. This role will assist in integrating SAP EAM and SBS AUD graphical design capabilities for asset distribution as part of a larger modernization project.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Support the IT Project Manager in maintaining project schedules in Primavera P6 (training provided).
- Track project costs and resources, and manage story / issue tracking in JIRA, ensuring team compliance with updates.
- Manage documentation within SharePoint, and oversee resource onboarding / offboarding.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports, governance documentation, and steering committee presentations as needed.
- Lead team meetings focused on risk and issue identification for escalation and oversee risk and issue management.
- Serve as backup for the IT Project Manager when required.
Core Requirements :
- Experience in SAP environments (direct project management experience is not required).
- Familiarity with working with or for third-party systems integrators.
- Knowledge of the SAP Activate framework is advantageous.
- Experience with Agile SCRUM or similar iterative development methodologies; Scrum Master experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with JIRA and issue tracking.
Desired Skills & Experience :
- Strong organizational skills, particularly with cost / resource tracking and documentation.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
Terms :
This role is based in Burnaby with hybrid and remote options, and candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone, ideally within the Lower Mainland, are preferred.
The project is anticipated to run from November 2024 to November 2025.
