Our client, one of Canada's leading law firms, is in need of a Legal Assistant - Floater to join its team.
In this role you will have the ability to manage and organize the daily operations of two busy practices.
This is a role for someone who has the ability to take initiative, prioritize, and multitask. The right candidate should also have an administrative background with a keen interest in financial services.
This role actively works with several others throughout the firm so the successful candidate should enjoy working with people.
For optimal success, the right person must be in the office a minimum of three days.
Responsibilities :
Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients Manage client file openings, conflict checks and create signature packages for closings.
Provide administrative support with respect to docketing, billing, wire confirmations. Manage duties related to accounting, client marketing initiatives and calendar management.
You will also assistant with transactions.
Requirements :
Five years previous experience as a legal assistant Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant and / or Law Clerk program Handle time pressure and stress of multiple demands
Skills :
Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications Experience with creating, numbering, styling and rebuilding documents Familiarity using DocuSign and closing folders Good judgement and decision making skills, organized and detail oriented.
