As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will apply principles and practices to guide through business, process, information, application and technology changes, to steer decision making towards the evolution of future state and desired business outcomes.
Primary duties include :
- Work with various business and Information Technology (IT) leaders and domain architects to further mature and manage enterprise architecture practice, standards and process.
- Lead various enterprise modeling related initiatives to establish processes, rules and meta model for content creation, promotion and its adoption at The City.
- Work with IT leaders and business subject matter experts to understand business strategies and priorities, translate those into business strategic requirements, and support the development of business value driven roadmaps and business cases in alignment to IT and enterprise architecture principles and standards.
- Enable senior level business technology committees to set and govern the technology strategic direction by completing high level architecture reviews, presenting findings and recommendations back to the committee, and helping to develop a common understanding of the problem.
- Perform research analysis on emerging business technology trends to support business vision and present findings to senior business and IT management.
Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
- Advanced working knowledge of business architecture domain, application architecture, and information architecture will be required.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools and concepts will be preferred.
- Experience in at least 1 architecture framework (for example : TOGAF, Zachman, Gartner) will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of key architectural concepts and practices and at least 5 years of solution architecture experience will be considered an asset.
- Hands-on experience with architecting enterprise-wide application environments, complex and conceptual analysis, and consulting will be considered an asset.
- You have a business acumen with proven leadership skills, superior influencing skills while contributing towards positive impact of enterprise architecture, and the ability to drive consensus towards a shared common architectural vision / objective.
- You have strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to think strategically in a technical environment.
