Assistant Server Clockwork PT

The Opportunity :

The Assistant Serversfocus will be to act as a support in all areas of Guest servicedelivery. In principle their function will be threefold;

to prepare serving stations and work areas for each meal periodassisting with the smooth execution of meal service during peaktimes and offering continued support in preparation for the nextmeal period.

The Assistant Server will be an integralpart of the Lobby Lounge team.

Inthis role youll getto :

• To promote andmaintain a positive working relationship at alltimes.
• To report for duty punctually in fulluniform according to appearance and groomingstandards.
• To have a full understanding of thefood and drink offerings in the outlet including dietaryrestrictions and be proficient in answering any guestsquestions.
• To demonstrate a completeunderstanding of Lobby Lounge policies procedures and set servicestandards as outlined in the Royal York ColleagueHandbook
• To demonstrate a complete knowledgeand understanding of all steps of service and duties and performthem to the set standards as outlined in the Job TaskChecklist.
• To assist all Guests (internal andexternal) with any inquiries or requests in a pleasant helpfulmanner.
• Attend preshift weekly and monthlymeetings to continually improve the Guestsexperience.
• Carrying out any miscellaneousduties and responsibilities as requested by your Manager pertainingto total quality service delivered in the LobbyLounge.
• To understand how to operate all theequipment used in the outlet.
• To fullyunderstand and follow the hotels recycling program andprocedures.
• Adhere to ALL Safe Standardsensuring all hygiene and prevention measures are beingmet
• Adhere to alcohol handling procedures andpolicies.
• Adhere to all LQA standards set forthe department.
• Will work weekends holidays andshift work as scheduled.
• Any other tasks asassigned.

Qualifications :

What youneed tosucceed :

• Previous workexperience in a restaurant / food and beveragesetting..
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ateam player attitude.
• OTEC certificate anasset.
• Flexibility with shifts of the outletdependent on business demands
• Willingness tolearn new concepts and ideas.
• Smart ServeTraining Certification.
• Experience working inUnionizedEnvironment

PhysicalAspects of Position include but are not limited to thefollowing :

• Constantstanding and walking throughout shift
• Frequentlifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Constantkneeling pushing pulling lifting
• Frequentascending or descending ladders stairs andramps
