The Opportunity
Duties include wiring, layout and installation of control hardware such as PLC's, DCS systems, contactor relays, protection relays etc.
in a wide variety of control panel applications. Qualification and skills include a minimum of 1 year experience, be mechanically inclined, be able to read and interpret electrical / mechanical drawings as well as having strong problem solving skills.
Must be able to work independently or as a team. Must be able to work overtime when needed.
Prior experience wiring control panels is a preferred but we will also offer training.
The Role
- Assembles brackets, mounts, and supports onto power units, gensets or other industrial equipment or components.
- Prepares and installs hoses (such as pneumatic, hydraulic and / or other)
- Performs cleaning and painting of skids, brackets, mountings, and piping.
- Installs belts, lines, electrical wiring or harnesses and other items as required.
- Performs all jobs neatly, accurately, and in a timely manner to meet production schedules.
- Supports other business activities as required.
- Maintains a strong customer focus; works with both internal and external customers.
- Understands and adheres to all organizational health and safety policies and procedures and ensures the safety of self and others.
- Share technical knowledge with coworkers.
The Candidate
Education : High School Diploma or DEP preferred.
Work Experience : 6-12 months in a similar role or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Knowledge : previous experience in mechanics or equipment assembly an asset.
Basic electrical knowledge.
Welding knowledge an asset
