Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Network Strategy, the Manager, Network Planning and Analysis is a key leadership position, responsible for the strategic planning, analysis, and scheduling of Porter’s rapidly growing fleet of Embraer E195 E2 and Dash 8 aircraft, from our hubs across Canada.
The role’s primary responsibility is to define and shape the airline network, including determining our future hub strategy, managing capacity on existing markets, driving expansion of the network with new routes, and reacting to changes in the competitive environment.
Duties & Responsibilities Lead the strategy and development of Porter’s flight schedule, including flight timings, phasing of growth, and hub structure for the network Present and recommend seasonal growth plans to senior airline leadership on a regular basis Proactively and regularly review flight profitability to maintain an up-to-date understanding of risks and opportunities Ensure the accuracy and completeness of industry data, and initiate the use of new sources, to drive ideal network decision making Provide the capacity input for the annual budget process, according to profitability and utilization targets Lead the build of long-range schedules for the purpose of guiding the airlines’ future financial and operational planning Maintain regular communication with key commercial stakeholders, including Revenue Management, Sales and Marketing Ensure regular monitoring and reporting of changes in the competitive marketplace Manage the initiation and monitoring of incentive agreements with airport partners Working closely with the Alliances team, lead the analysis of new and existing codeshare, interline and joint venture partnerships Represent Porter in the ongoing development of existing network partnerships Create effective presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint to communicate network objectives, changes and accomplishments to all stakeholders Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations;

Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in an airline Network Planning role, ideally in Canada Experience with airline network O&D analysis software is required;
specific experience with NetLine / Plan is an asset Experience with airline scheduling software (Zulu, Sabre or similar) is required In-depth knowledge of the airline industry and the Canada market Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical skills and able to work with high volumes of information High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a requirement, with proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications an asset Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint is required Data analytics expertise, including experience in SQL and Tableau, is considered an asset University degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a Mathematical or Science discipline is an asset
