GCBS Group, a rapidly growing building services company, is seeking a skilled Handyman to join our team full-time. This role involves performing a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks across the West End of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), including Mississauga, Hamilton, Kitchener, and Niagara.
The ideal candidate will be versatile, resourceful, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform general building repairs (painting, drywall repair, ceiling tile replacement, etc.)
- VCT and ceramic tile repairs and replacements
- Minor plumbing and electrical repairs (considered assets, but not required)
- Handle maintenance tasks in varying weather conditions
- Report tasks electronically and manually as required
- Manage materials for job sites efficiently
Required Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience as a general handyman or in a similar trade
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Proficiency in tile work (an asset)
- Must own your own tools
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds independently
- Working at Heights certification (a plus)
- Willingness to work overnight shifts as needed
Compensation :
- Hourly rate : $30 - $35 per hour, based on experience and skills
