Job Summary
Looking for a bi-lingual (English & French) Business Development Manager for our key clientsin Quebec. It is a remote opportunity with a flexibility to be based in anyprovince in Canada.
- Meetplanned annual sales and profit targets for selected categories while managingthe business efficiently.
- Manageaccounts that are typically sophisticated in terms of category management andcomplexity. Can be assigned to complex product lines or special markets thatrequire significant customer skills.
Responsibilities :
Accounts ReceivableManagement : Demonstrate an ability to deliver results while providingfirst-class customer service.
- Strategyof business initiatives & development of joint business opportunities withclients.
- Negotiateannual agreements, promotional activities, listing fees, price increases &costs with the client.
- Create& Present Business Revisions.
- Getcustomer approval for in-store activity (displays, posters, etc.)
- Discusspricing issues with the customer.
- Manageroutine requests and supply issues with the customer.
- Communicatechanges to policy, discontinued items, pricing actions, product recalls / qualityissues to the customer.
- Ensurethat new products are listed and that distribution loopholes are closed.
- Dealingwith customer / consumer complaints
Sales : Usecollected data on products, categories, consumers, and customers to identifyopportunities and prepare sales presentations.
- Managenew product launches
- Expandingthe distribution of ConAgra Foods' products
- Managethe various food groups items applicable to the Conagra portfolio
Business / FinancialPlanning Responsibility : Perform sales analysis, using available insights toprovide solutions to customer needs.
Achieve Net Sales& Profit Targets
- Makeaccurate forecasts of sales volume & trading tokens
- Develop,implement, and evaluate sales and customer marketing initiatives, based onperspectives and trends (insights)
- Maximizebusiness investments and returns based on business objectives
- Business& Category Analysis. Develop & Showcase Category Management Solutions
- Understandand use the marketing plan's sales materials
- Monitorthe execution of business activities
- Evaluatecustomer-specific reports and standardized IRI reports
Management ofInternal Relations in the Organization
- Partnerwith the Director of Business Analytics / Commercial Accounts Teams for reportingand analysis
- Communicatewith sales staff and other departments of ConAgra Foods as required
- Maximizeall sales opportunities by aligning with and supporting the Retail Team.
Supervision :
- Reportsto the Senior Business Development Manager
- Indirectrelationship with Sales Managers
Extent :
- Workclosely with the Accounts team as well as in cooperation with CustomerMarketing, Category Management, Brand Marketing, Retail, Finance & SupplyChain to achieve the company's objectives
- Liabilitywith the Client may vary from partial liability for one or two major accounts,to full liability for several smaller accounts
- Workswith direct guidance from the supervisor on business planning and clientstrategy
- Executespolicies and tactics as requested. May have a role in strategydevelopment.

Qualifications,Education & Experience
- Post-secondaryeducation in Business Administration, Commerce, or relevant field
- 3-5+years of experience in Major Account Management / Consumer Goods (Food)
- Stronganalytical skills & proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- GoodKnowledge of A.C.N. Software
- Strongnegotiation skills
- Businessand financial acumen : analytical skills, agility with the client's incomestatement, business management planning, monitoring and evaluation skills
- Abilityto make recommendations for solutions based on information obtained andanalyzed by previously mentioned systems
- Strongattention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Demonstratedability to manage business expenses
- Strongtechnical, reporting and analytical abilities
- Goodcommand of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solvingskills
- Abilityto work in a matrix organization. Works with the Senior Business DevelopmentManager and Sales Directors and prioritizes work initiatives.
