With approximately 3,300 employees, JBS Food Canada ULC ( JBS Canada ) is one of Canada's largest beef processors. Consisting of four locations the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,200 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily;
the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario.
The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primals, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide.
At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more.
JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

We are currently seeking an Automation Technician to join our team at our main processing facility in Brooks, AB.
NOTE : THIS ROLE WILL BE LOCATED IN BROOKS, AB
A SHIFT AND B SHIFT AVAILABLE
RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
You will :
Assist plant production by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and providing support for electronics including the following :
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals
- Calibrate and service Metal detectors and weighing scales
- Setup and do minor repairs on Foss meat analyzers
- Setup and repair numerous label printers and applicators Install, configure and repair Production data collection devices (scales, terminals, barcode scanners etc.)
- Install and terminate data communication cables
- Install and maintain CCTV cameras
- Install, calibrate and troubleshoot instruments
- Knowledge on VFD and PLC is an asset
You have :
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma supplemented by post-secondary education
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills as well as demonstrated problem solving skills are required
- Strong troubleshooting, programming and calibration skills
- Minimum 1 year of Automation technician experience
