Position Overview :

Successful Desjardins Insurance Agent is seeking a qualified professional to join their winning team for the role of Customer Service and Sales Representative.

The Customer Service and Sales Representative role is a full-time (part-time) on-site role located in Richmond Hill, ON.

The Insurance Customer Service and Sales Representative will be responsible for conducting sales activity and managing client accounts, providing exceptional customer service, communicating with clients to identify their needs and provide solutions.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, etc.
  • Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals.

Requirements :

  • Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred
  • Successful track record of meeting sales goals / quotas preferred
  • Property & Casualty license or LLQP (or both), or ability to obtain
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
  • Proactive in problem-solving
  • Dedicated to customer service
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to make presentations to potential customers
  • Knowledge of insurance industry practices and regulations is a plus
  • Diploma or degree in business, finance, or related field is preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred. Speaking Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.
