We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join the Quality Assurance team in the Wealth Technology group at CI Wealth.
As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and systems.
You will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
This position is fast paced and ever changing, requiring flexibility, self-initiative, and regular management of changing priorities.
What You Will Do :
- Test application modifications, enhancements, and new functionality by executing test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.
- Create test data for projects and new product launches.
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
- Log issues encountered using a defect tracking system and report those defects to the Project Team and re-test any defects or issues encountered.
- Monitor defect resolution efforts and track successes.
- Track and report upon testing activities, including test results, test case coverage, and defect discovered and their status.
- Ensure content and structures of all Testing artifacts are well documented and maintained.
- Support other test team members and associated IT and Business resources as appropriate to the implementation of testing related activities.
What You Will Bring :
Experience
Minimum of 3 years work experience within the Financial Services Industry is a strong asset.
Education / Training
University degree or community college diploma in a related field such as Computer Science / Information Technology and / or equivalent applicable Business and / or IT experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role in software development projects.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Programming background and knowledge of SQL considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of MS office suite of products, specifically Excel an asset.
- Ability to independently analyze extensive data, identify discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative and good judgment.
- Ability to focus on deadline sensitive tasks and deliverables.
