For this long-term contract / temporary position, you should be willing to work in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Accountant's duties will include data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation, and the position will report to the Accounting Manager.

Your responsibilities
- Data entry
- Assisting with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Carrying out alternate duties and taking part in special projects as assigned
- Prepare journal entries monthly
- Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audit
- Researching and correcting account discrepancies
- Ensuring that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct
Job Requirements :
- Less than one year of experience
- High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred
- Applicants are recommended to hold an AA or BS / BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Adeptness in cash reconciliations
- Expertise in numeric data entry
- Daily Reconciliation experience
- Employee Timesheets experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Navision
- Computer Data Entry experience
- Perform Data Entry experience
- General familiarity with Cost Allocation
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent data entry skills
