As a Junior Civil Designer, you will support projects that span multiple disciplines within our organization in order to deliver high quality and sustainable solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities :
- Develop finished grading drawings, sketches, and Engineering Packages from general conceptual information and design notes using a variety of 2D and 3D CAD software for Water Infrastructure Projects;
- Develop grading and drainage design models using AutoCAD Civil 3D under the direction of a Senior Designer
- Process survey, point cloud and lidar terrain data
- Supporting field teams as needed during construction including surveying, field construction observation, inspection, and administration of field works
- Liaising with engineers and other disciplines to achieve high quality and constructible design packages.
Position Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in civil engineering design, 3D modelling and drafting using Civil 3D
- Experience in Civil 3D using grading objects, corridors and the use of data shortcuts
- Diploma in Civil Design Course or Engineering Design Technology (or equivalent) is preferred.
- Registration with Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta, or qualifications to apply are preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong organizational and time management skills ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of civil engineering design concepts for grading, drainage and civil earthworks
- Proficient computer skills and advanced knowledge of CADD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience with structural modelling an asset.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
