Senior Commercial Lines, Account Manager
Based in Mississauga - Global Reputable Brokerage
Hybrid Role
Position Overview
- Responsible for providing exceptional day to day service to clients
- Maintain professional relationships with underwriters to help facilitate placement of new and renewal business
- Support management where required
- Training and ongoing support / mentoring of Junior and Account Managers
- Acting within granted authority to approve Junior and Account Manager’s work when required
- Prepare new and renewal quotations in accordance with department guidelines
- Negotiate and bind new and renewal coverage with Insurers based department guidelines
- Processing of policies, certificates and correspondence
- Handling of special projects as assigned
- Assist in managing accounts receivables
- Working with management to identify new business and client growth opportunities
- Working with management to identify potential departmental efficiencies
- Participation in industry events and customer visits as required
Position Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Commercial Insurance experience
- Valid RIBO license with all continuing education up to date
- Exceptional client service skills
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to adapt to, and work co-operatively with others
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Applied Epic is an asset
