Description Forklift Mechanic - Monday to Friday Morning shift- 40 hours a week - GTA We are seeking multiple Field Maintenance Technicians that display excellent mechanical skills, comfortable reading blueprints, possess a hunger to learn and want to keep developing their skills.
The desired industries we look for is automotive, aerospace and industrial mechanics. The maintenance technician is responsible for providing leadership in troubleshooting and diagnosing unexpected machinery issues to ensure production efficiency and uptime is maximized.
You will be required to drive to various client locations to conduct diagnoses and repairs. DESCRIPTION OF POSITION :
- Correctly diagnose all electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems and expedite its repair.
- Carry out preventative maintenance as outlined by the maintenance schedule and make changes as deemed needed.
- Align, fit and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and templates.
- Analyze and record test results and prepare written testing documentation.
- Inspect parts for defects.
- Manage inventory of spares and documentation of such parts.
- Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
- Repair, rework and calibrate hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
Job Requirements Requirements
- Good Driving License Standing - Company Car will be provided
- Able to Interpret and review schematic drawings of electronic, mechanical, structural, pneumatic and hydraulic systems to understand their operation and identify malfunctions.
Able to consult with manufacturer manuals when needed while trouble-shooting equipment.
- Test reassembled equipment and make necessary adjustments or repairs as required. This would include a wide variety of machining processing / production systems.
- Perform necessary repairs as needed, including disassembly / reassembly of mechanical devices, electrical motors and gearboxes, hydraulic systems and valves, etc.
- Experience with general trouble shooting using ladder logic, PLCs, relay logic, and appropriate electronic diagnostic tools.
- Experience with automated assembly equipment including ABB robotics, leak testing, machine vision systems, torque driving systems, and others all considered an asset
- Able to use specialized measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, angle finders, feeler gauges, dial indicators, and / or other specialized diagnostic equipment as provided by the company.
