Overview of role :
WestJet is looking for a highly skilled and analytical Business Analyst to join our Disruption Management Program. In this crucial role, you'll play a key part in shaping the way we handle irregular operations (IROP).
By diving deep into data, identifying trends, and delivering actionable insights, you will help drive strategic initiatives that enhance our guest experience, improve operational efficiency, and support our frontline teams.
Key deliverables / responsibilities include :
- Data Analysis : Collect, analyze, and interpret data to uncover trends and insights that can drive improvements in disruption management.
- Process Optimization : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and enhance our processes, ensuring a more efficient response to disruptions.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Partner with key stakeholders to gather, document, and evaluate requirements, ensuring all voices are heard and aligned in the pursuit of innovation.
- Project Support : Provide critical analytical support for disruption management projects, guiding data-driven decision-making at every step.
- Performance Metrics : Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of disruption management strategies.
Experience and qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in disruption management or operations within the airline industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for translating technical information into clear, accessible language.
- Experience with process improvement and project support.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis tools and software.
- Ability to communicate technical or complex subject matter in easy-to-understand language.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with flexibility.
- Familiarity with Irregular Operations (IROP) processes and airline operations is a strong asset.
